In honor of the Queen's upcoming trip to Australia, Her Majesty is holding a special Australian-themed reception at the Buckingham Palace. Several hundred guests reportedly received an invitation from the Master of the Household, at least three of which are Australian fashion industry reps. So who snagged an invite? Fashion designer Geoffrey J. Finch, fashion retail consultant Yasmin Sewell, and (drum roll please) guess-the-gender model Andrej Pejic. With his attendance confirmed the buzzing question, of course, is what does the prettiest boy in the world wear to such an occasion?
The fashion industry has grown to love Pejic and his androgynous looks over the past year. Few can work both sides of the runway, but Pejic closed the show for Jean Paul Gaultier in a wedding dress this past January in Paris and more recently worked the runway donning dresses for Jeremy Scott S/S 12 at NYFW. He's shot many gender-bending editorials - nabbing the October 2011 cover of Schon magazine, playing the female for Carbon Copy, and channeling sexbomb Marilyn Monroe in LoveCat magazine - and he has appeared in many fashion forward campaigns.
So, will he wear a dress or a suit? One thing for sure, we can expect the unexpected. Frockwriter got in touch with Buckingham Palace press officer Marnie Gaffney to talk etiquette. "The recommended dress code for receptions at Buckingham Palace is a day dress/lounge suit. However, this is for guidance only and guest are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in," she said. That said, here are some of my favorites Pejic could consider for the occasion.

Givenchy

Christian Siriano

Dolce & Gabbana

Chanel

Emilio Pucci

Fendi
